PSHE Rationale

We want children to understand and value how they fit into and contribute to the world. PSHE at Banwell Primary School is taught through Jigsaw- a planned programme of learning through which children and young people acquire the knowledge, understanding and skills they need to successfully manage their lives – now and in the future.  

As part of a whole-school approach, PSHE Education develops the qualities and attributes pupils need to thrive as individuals, family members and members of society, and links to our seven whole school values of aspiration, confidence, courage, curiosity, kindness, resilience and respect.

5 ways to Well-being
 
At Banwell Primary School well-being is very important for both children and staff's mental health.
We dedicate half an hour weekly to a well-being session, using one of the five ways to well-being, where technology is not used in the classroom. You can find the five ways of well-being below.
