How we can support you
We are aware and understand the concerns and problems families may face both financially and emotionally. All of these worries can have an impact on mental health and wellbeing, both for children and adults alike. Banwell Primary School want to help in any way we can, with resources in this section, practical support and a coffee and chat whenever you need it. I hope you find the resources on here useful, but if there is something specific you need, please ask.
I also wanted to let you know that we are still able to access the Foodbank hub being run from Banwell Children's Centre. This is in partnership with Banwell Parish Council and Weston Foodbank. We can issue a food voucher and you can collect your parcel from the Children's centre in the village. If you need a Foodbank voucher please email me at mo.parker@banwell.extendlearning.org or call the school on 01934 822498 and ask to speak to Mo.
Positive Mental health and well-being are always a major focus within school, and we continue to deliver well-being sessions each day in every class. In addition Sarah, a Mental Health practitioner from the NHS Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Trust, visits school every Tuesday. She is delivering 1:1 CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) sessions, parent programs and class workshops to support our Mental Health provision.
If you have any questions about our well-being program or if there is anything I can help with, please contact me via phone, email or catch me at the main gate each morning.
